GeoCamp Iceland focuses on educational and training development with an emphasis on practical, active learning in the natural sciences, especially within STEM fields such as geology, geography, climate change, and renewable energy. It creates curricula, educational materials, and organizes study programs for secondary, college, university, and VET students, as well as teacher training. GeoCamp is involved in national and international projects promoting outdoor science education and STEM learning. A key initiative includes the development of a science camp in Reykjanes, in partnership with local institutions and aligned with the goals of Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark. The organization collaborates closely with VET schools in its region, offering CPD opportunities and supporting schools in becoming UNESCO-certified. With extensive experience in VET management and Erasmus+ projects, GeoCamp Iceland plays an active role in educational innovation and regional vocational excellence.
